    DESCRIPTION

The Terex 2205M (tires) excavator is built for performance and mobility, tires instead of tracks for quick travel around a construction site. Get our guaranteed lowest rental rate when you reserve the Terex 2205M hydraulic excavator, and enjoy professional quality work by hiring an experienced heavy-equipment operator from Rent1. With no tracks, the Terex 2205M excavator rental uses heavy-duty tires and wheel frames to allow for ultimate mobility on pavement surfaces. If you need a hydraulic excavator rental with similar operating weight (slightly lighter) that can navigate over soft dirt or tough, uneven terrain, view a Komatsu PC200LC-8 excavator rental.

With a maximum operating weight of 21100kg (46518 lb.), the 2205M brings a lot of power in a mobile machine. The maximum digging depth is 20’6” and the reach length is 32’8”, making this hydraulic excavator an ideal choice for roadside trench digging, material handling, and landscaping projects. A sizeable cab designed for ergonomics and comfort ensures maximum productivity on your commercial or residential earthmoving site. Certain excavator rentals from us have the option to attach a hydraulic thumb and cab guard for demolition purposes. Ask us about our demolition-ready excavator rentals today.

Power: The Deutz engine model BF6M 2012 C nets out 182 hp (135.7 kw), ensuring high lift capacity for any heavy excavation project or when loading sand, gravel, and construction debris into dump trucks. This is very impressive for an operating weight of 21100kg (46518 lb.).

Efficiency: Increase productivity on your construction job site with a machine that meets emissions requirements and lowers operating costs with less refills required.

Visibility: Unobstructed visibility for the operator maximizes efficiency and provides better safety; vital whenever you rent equipment for your landscaping, earthmoving, or material handling job.

Versatile: The Terex 2205M is a mobile and versatile machine, ready to equip a number of attachments such as heavy duty buckets, ditch cleaning buckets, and hammer attachments, so you can get your earthmoving or material handling job done right.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    Q. What should I do when I receive my rental?

As soon as your rental is delivered, we recommend taking photos of the exterior and cab for your records. Check out our tutorial video on how to take these photos before you start operating your equipment.

    Q. How do I decide if I need tracks or wheels?

Ask yourself, “What kind of surface am will I be operating on?” If you’re using this equipment on soft ground or loose gravel, or if you’re operating on dirt in a season when it rains a lot, then tracks will provide the grip needed to complete your job and avoid getting stuck. If your job is on hard ground such as pavement, then you can take advantage of the increased speed and mobility of a wheeled excavator.

    Q. Is it ok to take a wheeled excavator on residential roads and highways?

It is only ok to take heavy equipment on a residential road or highway if you have the proper insurance to do so. Get a hold of your insurance provider and let them know you need to drive your Terex 2205M on the roads, and they will be able to provide you with the correct insurance policy to do so.
